A few days ago I received an invitation from Mark Henson to the Catalysing Collective Creativity show at the Push Studio in San Francisco. The show runs from April 4 to April 28.
Debbie and I might try and make it into the city for opening night. It would be nice to meet and view the work of the artists I have encountered online in person.
Push Studio is located on 864 Folsom Street in San Franciso.

I spent most of my day in the studio working with acrylic paints. I am trying to find my “dance” with this meduim by playing around on a piece of canvas and allowing what ever evolves to come forth as I do with all my work. I have gotten closer to having a feel for the brush in my hand and working with the paints this time around compared to my past attempts. I am enjoying the paints and find that there is greater expression coming from the brush and paint compared to the pencil or pen.
NEWS: The first batch of prints of my new series “Somnium Materia Progenis” came today. I am thrilled with the printing. Now I need to get clear protective sleeves to put them in and sign all the pieces on the back. I did not have the title at the time I sent this work to the printers….so I am hand writing the title on the back above my signature. The prints are for sale with a cost of $15+S&H / Contact me for more information.

Today I am spending much of my time working on the small ink piece that I will use to create pieces for the Somnium Materia Progenis series. This size will fit in the scanner and the entire piece can be scanned. Most of the ink work is done and now I will go into the piece with watercolor and acrylic inks.
The orginal piece will be framed and become a separate piece on it’s own…just as the large 20×30 originals will be used.

The technical pen stage of drawing is now done on the 7 x 10 piece of watercolor paper. I am now putting in the first stages of color with watercolor. The next step will be to use acrylic inks. I have taken out the stage with the Winsor Newton inks since they are not archival.
