Note No. 16

I have started the long journey of creating a Dream Matter piece with graphite and charcoal. For the last year and a half I have been experiencing an artistic block that has hampered my efforts to create another piece in graphite and charcoal. Several times I thought I was free of this block only to find out after a few days of work that I was not.

So far this new piece seems to be flowing along with ease and gives me the feeling that I am back on track again. I can not express the joy I am experiencing in seeing my work take shape once again on the surface of the illustration board. I can only hope that this is the end of a very long period of artistic hell that has plagued me for a over a year.

I am using some new techniques to create this piece. I will explain these techniques later in another post.
